Youth Fundraiser Valentine Flowers

The youth would like to remind anyone
who plans on donating vases to please have
them here by Sunday. Feb 5th. Because
there are a few NEW opportunities with
workshops and upgrades-please order early
to ensure you get what you prefer. Some of
the mixed flower items, and upgrades are
limited in number, and these requests will
be filled in the order they are received. The
NEW workshop opportunities are cost
saving in that you will save $5 over what can
be ordered to be picked up.
The cost of the Sunday Feb 12 workshop
is $25- if you order one (that we arrange) for
pickup, the cost is $30. These will include
roses, carnations, alstromeria, mums
/daisies, and greenery in a 5” footed
container.
The cost of the Monday Feb.13 workshop
is either $20 for a doz. Carnations or $40 for
a doz. Roses. When you attend and arrange
your own, you will receive the $5 upgrade of
additional white daisies and seeded
eucalyptus. We will provide vases that you
may choose from, or if you have a “special”
vase you wish to use-bring it with you!
Sign up early for these workshops, as
participation will be limited to 15 persons.
This is to ensure that you will have any
guidance you require to construct a lovely
arrangement worthy of your special
valentine. Bring your creative talent and
your own clippers!
We sincerely hope that we fill these
classes. In case the response is not as
great as we anticipate, we MUST HAVE AT
LEAST FIVE in each class in order to go
ahead.
New also this year- we will have a limited
number of pink roses that may be
purchased at $3 each and added to your
item/order. Half of purchase price ($1.50)
will go to Susan G Komen Foundation for
Breast Cancer Research. The other half will
go to help offset the wholesale price of
these lovely pink roses.
Please read your order form carefully,
marking all you wish to purchase or
participate in, and turn in early to ensure
you get those limited items/opportunities.

We would like specific names of those that our congregation knows about that are in the military that need our prayers to put in an article in the newsletter and weekley bulletin. Please let us know names so we can add them to our list.

This Week's Scripture

1 Corinthians 6:12-20

12 “I have the right to do anything,” you say-but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”-but I will not be mastered by anything. 13 You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” 17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
