News from the 2nd – 5th grade
Sunday School Class
We are reading Old Testament stories about Abraham and Sarah, Lot, Isaac, Rebecca and others.
Their stories teach us how to be faithful to God and that He keeps his promises.
Our fall mission project is collecting small items for Operation Christmas Child that can fit in a shoe box.
We will send at least two boxes to the organization Samaritan’s Purse full of school supplies, toys and other stuff to
help make kids feel loved by God this Christmas. They will also receive the story of Christmas in their boxes.
It is a joy and a blessing to help our church kids learn through study and prayer that God loves us.

A Calling the Heart to Action Ministry
We are a family-friendly church and we want to promote positive parenting. Hence, we are offering a passionate parenting workshop. This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn how to better guide the young people in your life. They might be your children, your nieces/nephews, your grandchildren or the children you mentor in Sunday School, youth groups or other organizations.
Do you ever wish that you could provide better leadership for children by focusing on the most important things?
Do you ever wish that you could spend more time having fun with the young people in your life?
Do you and your spouse ever disagree on what time curfew is? What time bedtime is? All the vegetables eaten before chocolate cake?
Do your children ever fight with each other?
Do you ever wish that you could learn from others that are experiencing similar struggles?
Coming Soon: A 6-week passionate parenting workshop, beginning October 7th through November 11th. Sundays from 5-7 p.m. The workshop will be taught by Pastor Guy and other special guests. A meal will be served from 5-5:30 p.m. and the class each week will be from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Childcare will be provided.
